it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten classroom is filled with bright, curious, and creative young learners who love to explore the world through hands-on activities. I teach at a Title 1 school where the majority of our students come from low-income households. Many of my students have limited access to art supplies at home, and school is often the only place where they can express themselves throush creativity. While our community is full of heart, resources are often limited—especially when it comes to the arts.
Art is a vital part of early childhood education.
It fosters imagination, builds fine motor skills, and gives students a powerful way to express themselves. However, we are currently working with very limited supplies—some dried-out markers, broken crayons, and just a few sheets of paper. My goal is to give my students access to quality materials like pencils, crayons, construction paper, glue, scissors, and more—tools that will allow them to bring their ideas to life. These items will be used for daily creative projects, seasonal crafts, and hands-on learning activities that connect with literacy, math, and science.
