This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My sweet kindergartners would benefit from comfortable floor chairs. These can and will be used while reading alone or with a buddy. They would also benefit from the STEM magnetic blocks that will encourage creativity.

Kindergartners thrive in a comfortable and inviting environment where they feel safe to dive into a good story while reading or unleash their imagination while at play.

My students are special in many ways. They are 4 & 5 year olds with tons of energy and unbridled creativity. They enjoy working both independently and collaboratively when appropriate. They work hard at solving jigsaw puzzles and creating objects using play dough. My hope is that the floor chairs will make reading time more enjoyable. I also wish for them to have the magnetic blocks to develop a small neighborhood of homes and businesses. This will support a unit on our community in social studies.
