This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our rural community and school educate about 450 students all the way through eighth grade. We live in an area of high poverty. Nearly seventy-five percent of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch with forty-eight percent speaking English as a second language.

Our Kindergarten students are treasured and are eager to learn and grow!

My students have an irresistible want to learn. They are helpful, generous, and inquisitive. They need help to stay organized to keep the focus.

My Project

I am asking for your help once again! My classroom will need storage materials to help teach my Kindergartners how to not only be organized, but responsible as well. I am asking for your help in providing each of my students with a personal cubby. The cubby will store all of their learning materials. These cubbies will leave their tables free of clutter and possible distractions, giving them a better opportunity to focus and learn.

Along with the cubbies, they need storage bins for all of our classroom materials.

It is important that our materials are organized and easily accessible. Students in kindergarten are not only learning how to read, they are learning how to be independent to help with real life situations at home and school. These storage bins will help us stay organized as a class family and live together as a community!
