Kindergarten Can Get Messy, but We Want To Paint!

Help me give my students paper, paint brushes, painting aprons to keep their clothes safe, and highlighters!

My Students

My Kindergartners are eager to create, draw, paint, and be creative! Can you imagine not being able to draw a picture in Kindergarten because there is no paper? Well, that is sadly happening in our classroom.

Art supplies in Kindergarten are a necessary material to inspire creativity, thinking, and the student's imagination!

There are currently 24 children in my classroom. My students are the most creative group of kiddos that I have had in my teaching career. From making Safety Patrol Belts out of paper to painting like Eric Carle, they are always creating something! Every day, over half of my students love to create, draw, and paint at the art center during our free choice. As a result of this, our art supplies are running EXTREMELY low. There have been weeks that we have not had paper to even draw a picture on.

My Project

All of the materials that I am requesting will be used mainly in our art center, therefore they will be used every day! Every day my students draw with crayons, markers, and colored pencils. They cut, paint, and sculpt things that their imaginations come up with. These materials that I am requesting for my Kindergartners will also be used during our free choice time, for art projects, and for parts of our curriculum so that my teaching is engaging! As you can see, these materials will be used all the time, and we are desperate for them!

These donations of paper and paint aprons will increase the overall morale and happiness of my students.

My students are waiting patiently for me to add our paint easel into our center rotation. Currently, I do not have any easel paper and no paint aprons to keep their clothes clean and safe. I am requesting new paint brushes for my students as well because our old paint brushes are starting to lose the bristles!

Finally, I am asking for new highlighters for my students to use in the art and writing center. I have a handful of highlighters for them to use, but they are quickly running out of ink due to their popularity!
