it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Everybody has a story to tell. This project will allow my kindergarten students the opportunity to publish their own stories.
I have the most amazing students!
They come to school each day ready for a new learning adventure. Although they come from varied backgrounds, all are united in their desire to explore and learn about new things. Each day, the kids line up outside our classroom door eager to begin out time together. It is such a joy being their teacher!
My Project
There's an old saying in education that, "The world may have Seven Wonders however, to a child the world has seven million wonders." The kindergarten students in my room love learning new things. They have a natural curiosity which dovetails nicely into writing projects. Children at this age need many opportunities to work with language in order to promote literacy skills. This project will allow each student to write slightly above his/her level to create and publish his/her book. Some students will create stories using pictures, while others will use words. Each student will share his/her book with other students and adults around campus and at home. Without a doubt, this project will have a profound effect on the learning in our classroom.
My students have many stories to tell and the addition of this binding machine to our classroom will encourage each student to write them all down.
I am certain that having a purpose to write will improve literacy in our classroom for many years to come. Thank you in advance for you kind donation.
