Kindergarten: A Foundation for Life-Long Learning

Help me give my students the literacy, math and organizational tools they need. As a first year teacher, these items will help me to supply my classroom with interactive learning tools for my kindergarten students next fall.

My Students

After graduating from college 20 years ago with a degree in education, I will be heading into my first year of teaching this fall! The kindergarten students I will be teaching are at the beginning of their education journey. They are eager to learn, creative, and full of joy.

Kindergarten sets the foundation and tone for each student's educational journey and their road ahead.

At this pivotal age, students learn best when they can interact, create, problem solve, and develop skills to help them become successful life-long learners.

My Project

After graduating with a degree in elementary education twenty years ago, I will be starting as a first-year teacher at

Elementary. In the fall, I will have the opportunity to teach 25 bright-eyed and eager Kindergartners!

The cost of supplying a classroom for a first-year teacher can be overwhelming. Creating an environment and classroom setting where students can find success is essential. Kindergarten is the foundation for a student's educational experience. This project will allow me a start in gathering supplies that will be used to enhance my student's literacy, writing and math skills. These supplies will also help in creating an organized space for my students to learn.
