My Project
I am seeking funding to acquire KleenSlate whiteboards and a diverse set of counters to significantly enhance our math instruction and support our students' development in both mathematical understanding and fine motor skills.
In my classroom, engaging students actively during whole group math lessons is crucial for their learning and participation.
KleenSlate whiteboards will provide an interactive and dynamic way for each student to instantly respond to questions and problems, ensuring that every student remains involved and receives immediate feedback. These whiteboards will allow students to demonstrate their understanding of mathematical concepts in real time, fostering a more interactive and responsive learning environment.
Additionally, the introduction of various counters—such as counting bears, transportation vehicles, and farm animals—will provide our students with hands-on tools to practice essential math skills. These counters will not only support students in meeting math standards but will also offer valuable opportunities for developing fine motor skills. By manipulating these counters, students will improve their hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and grasp strength, which are fundamental for their overall academic and physical development.
