My Project
I am new to teaching a kindergarten and first grade combo this school year. Most of our students come from low income households. My goal as a teacher has always been to give them the things that will best serve their learning without them having to worry about anything at all. I have added several things to our list that will aid in developing reading and math skills. I have also added things that will help us in small groups, stations, and social-emotional learning. Please help us get these things for our classroom!
We will use the cardstock, laminating pouches, and sheet protectors to create fun learning activities such as letter matching games and hands-on math games.
We have a few students in our class who would really benefit from sensory type items like the foam building blocks, sensory wood box, wood stackers, foam dice, and the even the counting animals. We currently have one set of animals, and my students love them but it is only enough for one student to do at a time. We are also in need of basic school supplies like the highlighters and the Mr. Sketch markers.
