Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Kindergarten is a year like no other! Wet pants, teary eyes, nervous parents, but most importantly... the most fun, imaginative, creative, and memorable year! Students learn skills and valuable lessons that they will carry on for the rest of their elementary days. My students will be ecstatic to learn by singing songs, reading books, and building meaningful classroom community!
My Project
As our local community strives for stronger inclusion, and diversity recognition, it is important that kindergarteners, the change of the future, are surrounded by the change we want to see in the world. These books will help me in creating a classroom community that is accepting of all cultures and differences that they will experience in their first year of school, and for the rest or their life! As a first year teacher, I hope to have a class library that my little minds can grow a big heart through.
