Kinder Reading Land

Help me give my students a chance to learn how to read in a fun and dynamic way that is hands-on and engaging.

My Project

Kindergarten is where the foundation of learning is established. My students are happy to attend "Big School", but come without the necessary tools school requires. I teach in a Title 1 school where 98% of my students receive free or reduced lunch. Many come from economical disadvantaged backgrounds and the ability to focus on academics is a struggle.

My goal for Kinder Reading Land is to see 85% or more of my students develop a love for reading.

Using the alphabet stamps, 3-letter word puzzles and crayon word center will help give my students the chance to discover, interact with, and manipulate letters and sounds to create real words that will introduce them to the world of reading and create an excitement for reading.

They will also be able to creatively apply what they have learned to compose picture stories and become young authors using the proper paper and handwriting tools.

Equipping my students with these resources will allow them the ability to grow and blossom.
