Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach kindergarten in a diverse community with a high percentage of ELL students. I have a group of energized kindergartners who love to play and learn and are also such a helpful group who love hands on activities. My school just became a leader in me school and we are molding kiddos from the very beginning to be leaders in all that they do!
My Project
Engaging students in math centers has been hard lately as they have gotten used to the activities we have already and have been asking for more math activities to add to our centers. These materials would allow for them to have a variety to choose from. These materials will be used to create excitement for center time and help students to enjoy math more. Some centers will also be for my kinder team.
We’ll be using these activities not only in our regular class math time but also in my after school tutoring group as well.
