This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love about my kindergarten students is their enthusiasm for learning. Our students have a 2 hour block a day for math and literacy small groups. Small groups are meant to provide an engaging, enriching experience for young students. Using small group centers, give students the attention with the teacher as well as the autonomy and independence to do school work at their own level.

With these materials, students will engage in a variety of literacy and math centers.

During center rotations students will work as a group together and independently according to the center instructions. While working independently it is important students are engaged with activities they can work on without support such as puzzles and

letter matching activities. These centers will challenge students as well as set a strong foundation for their literacy and math sense skills.
