This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Technology is the way people create, communicate and explore. I want to prepare my kindergarteners for the future.

I teach in an impoverished area of Los Angeles.

My students receive a free breakfast and lunch. Their homes have limited access to technology. Though many of them come from double-income households it is not enough to provide for wants... only needs can be fulfilled.

My Project

I am requesting an iPad so my students can create simple stories and learn using various apps. There are several math, reading and science apps that my students can benefit from. I am also requesting a laptop so my students can begin to learn the basics of how to use Word and PowerPoint. We can create shared writing pieces that we can publish for their parents and create presentations to share during our Open House day.

Please help my students learn how to use, explore, learn and create using technology.
