This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Kindergarten students walk through the door each day eager to learn and ready to be challenged. My students come from diverse backgrounds, some of them do not receive much exposure to technology.
During the 21st Century with all of the advancement in technology it is vital that students, even at an early age, have the opportunity to learn using the newest technology available.
My students will benefit from this technology not only this year, but for years to follow.
My Project
As an educator who is passionate about the academic growth and achievement of every one of my students, I feel it is necessary that all students are supplied with every opportunity possible to advance in today's rapidly changing world of education and technology.
The laptops that I am requesting for this project would give my students additional opportunities to enhance learning throughout the day.
The students would be using the laptops in centers to improve in all subject areas through the use of interactive websites and programs like I-ready, Reflex math, Brainpopjr., etc. Throughout the school year my students will also be using the laptops to take assessments that will help me determine their strengths and areas that we need to work on. In addition, the laptops will also help become familiar with keyboarding and computer skills. It is no secret that kids LOVE technology and these laptops would help make their day even more exciting than it already is!
