This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are happy, fun loving and eager to learn!! Although we have only met remotely, these Kindergarten kiddos are so enthusiastic about being in school. Each morning they begin the day with smiles and excitedly greet me and their new friends. They are learning each other's names and have started to build a virtual classroom community.
Bursting with energy and curiosity, these Kindergarten kiddos love to dance and sing, create and explore.
Each day they become more engaged in learning and willingness to take risk.
I look forward to providing endless opportunities for these young minds that are filled with excitement and desire to learn!
My Project
Every teacher in the WORLD is doing their absolute best to keep the learning experience exciting for their students. Remote learning is mostly lecture based. For young kindergarten students, this is the absolute opposite of what they need.
Studies show that MOST learning occurs with kinesthetic HANDS-ON activites.
Adding these Unifix Cubes to my Kindergarten Kiddos' Tool Kits will allow them a more ACTIVE way to practice counting, sorting, comparing, addition, subtraction and more during Math Time! They will stay more focused and engaged while building a solid number sense foundation in Math!
