This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Dear donors, I am a dual-language kindergarten teacher and I will be teaching my students about farms. I am requesting a small wooden barn with the small animal figurines and toys, so my students can develop their vocabulary through play pretend.

Teaching about farms can be quite interesting in theory but I think young students learn best through hands-on activities.

My main goal is to teach my students an appreciation for the animals, the crops, and the work that goes into farming. It’s for this reason that I am requesting these toys. In addition to the props and toys I am also requesting two books about farms. I look forward to watching their creativity unfold. I can just imagine my students learning the names of the animals and talking about the activities that happen on the farm. If you would like to support us with this project, my students and I would truly appreciate it!
