My Project

I am a first year teacher that is working with kindergartners. These kids were two when COVID hit, and many of them did not go to preschool because of this. Some of these kids are lacking social skills, while many others still do not know their letters and sounds. With the help of these tools, manipulatives and books the students will be able to contribute to their learning in more meaningful and engaging ways. I chose a lot of literacy and letter tools, such as alphabet books and alphabet soup sorters that can make learning letters and sounds more fun. I also chose some more stem items, and items where they get to create and build, because these help them learn social skills to work together to create something. At the end of the day, I want what is best for my students, and I believe I have chosen tools that will help them grow in literacy, math and collaboration through play!
