I need books & materials to help kids who are really struggling with learning to read. They need help and support to become strong readers!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work at a Title 1 (high-poverty) school, teaching kids who struggle with learning to read. By 9 years old, some still don't know all the alphabet letters & sounds. This is a 911! When kids lack early reading skills, they quickly fall behind; the older they get, the harder it is to catch up.
My school doesn't have a library (not kidding!), so my students don't get much exposure to books.
The few classroom books I have aren't meant for struggling readers. My students need books & materials that teach EARLY READING/PHONICS skills (alphabet letters, sounds, rhyming, vowels, syllables). Every bit helps!
