Kids on the Move: Dance and Fitness for All

Help me give my students in PE the opportunity to participate in amazing dance and fitness activities that can be visualized using the apps available on an iPad which would be projected for all to see.

My Project

With the opportunity for me to teach using an iPad in our PE classes, the 700+ Elementary Students at TACS will be able to follow along to some awesome dances and some challenging fitness routines that are shown in engaging ways on a variety of apps (i.e. Tabata, Just Dance Now, and Super Stretch Yoga).

I would connect the iPad to my projector so that all students in PE classes could follow along to these dance and fitness activities which would allow for me to give feedback to students and support students while they stay engaged in the activities.

This really benefits the students that have missed opportunities like this during the years of the COVID pandemic. It will allow for these students to find joy in movement and exercise that wasn't present during that time.

The ability to have an iPad connected to a projector in our gyms during PE classes will also allow for the use of very useful apps like "Team Shake" which randomly group students into teams and partners based on who is present that day. The effeciency of the use of apps like this allows for students to move more during class and have more fun while they are moving.
