Our amazing students love to read! They are taking full advantage of putting books on hold and coming to school to pick them up. They love to read new, interesting books with current topics that feel relevant to their lives.
My Project
Let's get books into the hands of our students! We have all kinds of kids at Orca and all of them need books more than ever. Twice a month our students are able to come by our school and pick up books that they have put on hold. They bring them home and enjoy them along with their families.
Orca readers need books with characters that reflect their backgrounds.
Books with a diverse range of experiences encourage empathy and promote caring in our community. Help me meet them where they're at while building a culture of reading!
