My Project

Covid-19 has opened up a whole new different world, creating an even greater need to teach students social-emotional learning skills in order to cope. What better way to get students in counseling to open up and allow freedom of expression of their thoughts and emotions through what they love to do most? Play! Books can provide examples that may relate to their experiences, games will not only make learning fun but helps students to grasp and retain what they are learning. Use of sensory items such as sensory dough, legos, kinetic sand, etc. help students learn how to manage their emotions through touch.
