This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have twenty amazing 3rd grade students that show up to class eager to learn, despite the challenges they are faced with both in and out of the classroom. Our school is a low income Title I that offers free breakfast and lunch to all children. My students have a wide variety of learning styles and levels, all of which deserve the best education possible. Every student in my classroom is unique and everyone in the room respects each other. I care about my students and they know it!

My goal as a bilingual teacher is to encourage my students to love learning and to develop lifelong independent learners.

I especially love that my students try their best on everything that comes their way. They love to read and enjoy hands-on activities. They are great helpers and I know I can count on them. Every day​, I make sure to instill good qualities that will make them amazing citizens. I want my students to remember me when they grow up, so I make them feel welcome, safe, and important on a daily basis!

My Project

Most kids look forward to recess so that they can have a good time with their friends. Now that the weather has begun to change, my students are not allowed to go to the gym for recess. Since it will now take place in class I asked my students for a list of some new games to use during indoor recess in our classroom.

Kids deserve to have fun during school, especially recess!

My students asked for Connect Four, but I want to surprise them with the jumbo size one! They will be so excited to play! They also asked for HedBanz, Don't Break the Ice, and Toilet Trouble. All of these will be so much fun for them and great additions to other games we already have in class. I am requesting an essential oil diffuser to have a pleasant smell in our classroom during indoor recess. The fairy lights will go around our white board to create a calm classroom environment.
