This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students do not have access to these classroom essential magazines. Most of our students receive free lunch and families do not have extra money to fund classroom reading materials.
My students are eager to learn and broaden their access to the world through these magazines.
Donating to this project will allow them a tangible source to learn about the world. The exposure to current events and parts of the world they would not otherwise know about is invaluable.
Magazines and printed media should be accessible to all students across economic lines.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
