Kids Can Podcast Too! Giving Our Classroom A Global Voice!

Help me give my students the Tascom US-42 MiniStudio Creator so that they can have the equipment to help them create a classroom podcast.

My Students

We are a small K-5 school filled with students who are wonderful to work with! They are a diverse group of students in terms of race, income, gender, and ability levels, all looking for a chance to be successful. I have students who work at high levels and love to be challenged, down to students who need that nudge.

Many of them struggle with issues adults couldn't deal with, but still find a way to come to school and participate in the learning process.

We are a family of learners, myself included. Every day is a new day of learning, loving, and respecting each other. We are an awesome community working hard at being the best that we can be!

My Project

One of the best ways for students to learn is through an authentic process. A process which allows them to create a product that will actually be heard by others.

What better way to provide an authentic experience, that provides students with a global voice, then to have our students create a podcast?

Podcasting lends itself to authentic writing, speaking, and the developing of leadership skills.

Imagine. The kids decide what the content will be, they write the script, conduct interviews, and then, using the Tascom US-42 MiniStudio Creator you provide, they put it all together, and send their finished product out into the world!

I can't wait to hear what their first one sounds like!

I can only wonder what path an opportunity like this may lead them on in the future!
