My Project
Kidney tables allow students to be more engaged in their small group instruction time in my special education classroom. Currently, I only have two tables and my caseload has grown to 31 students. Next year, I am expecting my case load to grow even more. With many of my students their Individual Educational Program (IEP), requires me to read their tests aloud to them. With having this amazing gift of another table toward the back of the room, it would allow my students to concentrate, and stay focused and engaged on their assessments or assignments being read to them.
They almost always try to stay focused and work hard on the task given them; however, presently they are distracted with their peers and other lessons being given at this same time they are having an assessment or assignment read to them.
