This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are an eager and energetic group of Kindergarteners who love to learn! We are a Title I school located in Philadelphia. Our classroom is a safe haven where we can learn and grow together. We try our best and want so much to learn and make our teacher and families proud.

Many students are English Language Learners experiencing their first school days immersed in a foreign language.

As you can imagine, this can be a difficult transition for many. We learn and grow together everyday!

My Project

We have a wonderful listening center as well as access to three computers and three tablets. We use the listening center to listen to stories and interact with literature independently. We use the computers and tablets to use our Lexia Reading intervention program. Both of these wonderful resources require the use of headphones and our little 5 year old selves have trouble with regular size headphones. They often slip off and just don't fit properly. This keeps us distracted and unable to fully use the resources we have available.

These kid size headphones will make it easier for us to use the listening center and computers in our classroom.

The adult size headphones we have now slip off and distract us from our learning. Please help us get headphones that fit us properly so we can focus on our learning.
