This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is full of gifted and talented kindergartners that are very eager to learn each morning that they walk into our classroom. They come from all different kinds of backgrounds and countries. A lot of them are new to the United States and they are always excited to experience new things.

Their excitement and curiosity inspire me to make the best educational experience for them each day.

We've created an encouraging little family in our room and work together to learn, grow and lead.

My Project

Keeping 5 and 6 year old students still in their seat for a whole day can be challenging. But, who can blame them? Their day consists mostly of either sitting on the carpet or sitting in a chair. Their active bodies tend to get restless and it can make it hard for them to stay focused while they are working at either their desks or small group table. I am asking for five wobble chair/seats.

I do believe that your generous donation will give them the opportunity to be able to concentrate at their desk while giving them a little movement and wiggle room.

Since these seats allow for flexible seating, I can allow the students that tend to be more active and have a harder time concentrating to use the seats. The seats can also be used at our small group table where I work on targeted skills with them.
