My Project
Our school provides services for our district's littlest learners. Our building houses Early Childhood Special Education, Pre-K for our district's most vulnerable students, Parents As Teachers, and our STEP2 classrooms for our district staff preschoolers. We are often the first interaction most parents have with the education system and we strive to ensure those interactions are positive, fun, and informative.
This year we have been hosting fun, learning based quarterly events to help encourage parents to be more involved with their child’s education as well as building positive relationships with the school.
To foster that connection, we are holding a family and community event each quarter. Our fourth quarter event is a Kickoff to Summer Carnival.
We plan to use the duck pond matching game, the rings, paper plates, and popsicle sticks for fun games to help promote pre-academics and gross motor. We plan to use the sun glasses for prizes for the students. We plan to use the decorations to help create a fun environment that will create a carnival feel for the event. We plan to use the popcorn bag and popsicles for snacks during the event. We plan to use to bubbles, plastic popcorn buckets, measuring cups and sand toys for the sensory tables.
Our goal is to build a strong connection with school, family, and community, that will continue to be nurtured and grow for the school years ahead.
