Soccer is a sport that keeps increasing in popularity! It is a sport that every child can play and have access to- no matter whether you are in a backyard or part of a formal team. Currently we do not have enough soccer balls for a class to keep practicing foot skills that are needed for soccer.
Our school is a Title 1 school with approximately 75-80% fee waiver students.
The students at my school love to move, go outside and experience the world! Unfortunately many of my students do not have the opportunity to participate in outside sports, so they love coming to PE, but only get to do so every 3 days so we make the most of every class!
My Project
By creating a class set of soccer balls, each student will be meeting the National Physical Education Standards for foot dribbling and kicking skills. By providing us with goals, they will also learn the invaluable skills of working with partners and being part of a team.
A class set of soccer balls will change the world for my students!
It will give them skills that they can do ANYWHERE! My mission is to make them life long movers- soccer is a sport they can do at any age. By providing for this project you impact the lives of over 300 children. Children who will then grow to appreciate different types of movement and exercise!
