Kicking Obesity in the Face!

Help me give my students a chance to play with brand new equipment.

My Students

Oh my gosh, I have the best students. They are fun and energetic and they love to be and stay active!! We have alot of flat balls in gym and my students are really good at sharing. Even when we don't have enough jump ropes to go around they put two together and do a big jumprope. Especially with the scooters...they play rock paper scissors to see who gets one this time. My school is not the most expensive school, and all of my students are on free and reduced lunch. But you can feel the warmth and love once you walk into our building. We work with what we have, and BMATHIS is truly a family.

My Project

Mount Up stands for Meeting Obesity Unified with Nutrition and Training...My students can mount up with wings like Eagles. Isaiah 40:31 says they will walk and not grow weary. This way every single student is Active in the gym. Their faces will light up with the new equipment, and have fun! I get the opportunity to teach lessons they are excited about, and they can look forward to a lifetime of fitness.

I just attended a Share the Wealth conference for PE and I am excited to incorporate all these new ideas into my daily lessons.
