This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever meet some incredible children and you can't believe that they are only 6 and 7? I think about this every day. My kindergarten and first graders are such an incredibly diverse group who vary in ethnicity, home language, socioeconomic status and learning style that come together to form our community.

My students are part of our school community that is very special.

We are a small school community that is committed to creating an equitable learning environment to support the academic and social-emotional growth of our students across K-8. While our school might be small, our learning takes us far.

My Project

My students need learning tools to support their needs as 5 year olds! That means, boosting our dramatic play with felt puppets, adding a splash of color with watercolors, and listening to our favorite nursery rhymes in our listening station.

Supporting the developmental needs of my students will boost their confidence and lead to learning growth!

After teaching for 7 years, some of our most loved learning tools need a refresh. This project is a collection of learning tools that will not only support my students in cooperative play, literacy growth, and foundational math skills BUT they'll have a blast doing it!
