This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of my favorite units of the year is our caterpillar to butterfly metamorphosis unit. As the children learn about the life cycle of the butterfly, they will be able to use the microscope and slides to get a closer look at the details of the butterfly wings. They can use the logs and different building sets to create their own chrysalis or living space for the caterpillar as it begins its transformation. These different supplies can be utilized in many areas of science, social studies and STEM projects throughout our school year and make the learning memorable by making it come alive in their eyes and hands.
