it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My third graders are curious, energetic, and eager to read-they just need the right books to spark their interest! Graphic novels are a game-changer for many reluctant readers. Their visual format supports comprehension, builds confidence, and keeps students engaged. These books also allow readers to explore characters in a format that feels approachable and exciting.
By adding high-interest books like graphic novels and soccer-themed stories to our classroom library, I can better meet their diverse reading needs and ignite a passion for reading that extends beyond the school day.
Soccer books will tap into a love that many of my students already have for the game. These stories not only build reading stamina but also help students connect literacy to their real-life interests, encouraging them to read more often and with greater purpose.
