Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from hardworking families. This is the second year of a new STEM school in our part of the district. They are not only responsible for learning reading, writing, math, and social studies, but they also complete engineering challenges. We also compete in a First Level Robotics team.

This is my third year as a teacher at a STEM school, so we are all working together on this amazing journey.

Some of my students don't have access to computers or any extra activities outside of the school day. Teaching them how to use the materials in this project will be a great way to get them excited about school and learning.

My Project

Students in my classroom will use these supplies in everyday learning. The pen up sharpener and pencils will help students everyday with learning activities that they are doing in the classroom. This year we are implementing the AVID classroom, so the dividers will help students stay organized during the school day.

These materials in this project will help students grow and learn in the classroom.

The laminating pouches are for math posters that students can utilize when doing different multiplication, division, fraction, geometry math units. Students will be using the flare pens to edit and revise their writing pieces. The post its will help students with closely reading a text and write down the main idea or any connections to the text that students have made.
