My students enjoy making decorations of encouragement and kindness for their peers and our school community. They make signs with the cricut by using the adhesive vinyl. My students also print flyers to show encouragement and kindness to their peers and our students truly value how they are perceived by their peers, so if I can help change the atmosphere of the school to a more kind and positive atmosphere, we will see increased self-esteem, and more positive relationships and connections between students.
Our school community enjoys seeing the signs and encouraging decorations my students make to display aroud the school.
They love working with our YAHL group as community service by making flyers with a "Word of Encouragement" on them help our students know they are loved and appreciated. Students know that treating others with kindness can make others including themselves feel great self esteem. Making our whole school a kind and safe place is our mission. Letting our school community and students know they are loved and appreciated by making signs, encouraging flyers, locker decorations and cards.
