Keyboards Are Essential for Computers

Help me give my students a fresh set of keyboards to use while learning 21st-century skills, computer essentials, coding, and Google documents, sheets, and slides.

My Project

I am a teacher of wonderful 7th graders learning 21st-century skills, such as creating code and working on Google Documents, Sheets, and Slides. These students must type daily to improve their WPM (words per minute) and accuracy. They work hard and deserve the best that I can give them. Unfortunately, with such rigorous daily work, they are working through the last few keyboards I have in my storage.

My seventh graders deserve a class set of matching, brand-new keyboards to effectively learn the skills taught in the Cyber Foundations 1 class.

Many of my keyboards are several years old and have different layouts, and keeping student management at the forefront of my classroom means they move around constantly. When you are used to one type of keyboard and have to use a different one, it can throw off your work, affecting your ability to give it your best. They, too, struggle with adapting to different keyboards that are already losing their keys or jamming up. They deserve the right to have up-to-date technology in a world where big companies update their products yearly.

My goal is to have a classroom with enough keyboards for each student and extras in the closet for when they become worn down. I also wish for them to have brand-new learning equipment.
