“Mrs. Page! It's too hard!” This is what my tech-savvy students call out when keyboarding without looking. They aren't able to get beyond tapping the correct keys to produce even the simplest words. What has happened? They have been "typing" forever!
Taking the challenges out of keyboarding allows students to go beyond the spelling of words to get to the real purpose of writing - communication.
When students are required to compose or “write” paragraphs, stories or essays, good keyboarding skills allow them to get to the heart of the matter.
The covers are designed to sit over keyboards and hide fingers from view without restricting movement. This project will help students become efficient at touch-typing, which will help them become clear and coherent writers.
