These privacy partitions are a vital part of the classroom for students who need to just be by themselves while working on a test or project. It allows them to focus and remove all the other distractions from the class.
I teach a diverse group of 25 students in northern Virginia.
Several of my students battle with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, and the normal distractions of an average tween. The school has high pass rates in the area of test taking, which can put a lot of pressure on students.
My Project
For many children and adults removing distractions might not be necessary but it is absolutely necessary for students who are easily distracted. This also teaches students good study habits, such as, working where you can find peace and quiet. Lastly, I have asked for two math games for them to practice reviewing facts during the course of a given unit or after they have completed a test in order to take a little brain break.
These privacy partitions will allow students in my class to block out the distractions that the average person is able to do on a regular basis.
Test taking can be a very difficult part of a student's life so I want to make sure that I prepare them by providing them with all the necessary materials and skills to be successful.
