Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a classroom of sweet kindergartners who come to school each day ready and eager to learn. It is so incredibly rewarding to see their growth from August to May every year. My students come from a low socioeconomic background. For most of them, kindergarten is their first school experience.

Each child has an amazingly unique background, personality, and way that they learn.

With that being said, I am always looking for ways to make my classroom a safe, comfortable, and productive learning environment to ensure the success of my students.

My Project

The book bins and supply caddies will help keep us organized. The headphones will help students who are unable to purchase them. The number and place value pocket chart will add necessary elements to our calendar routine. The birthday chart will help us see who we can celebrate each month. Our name tags and name plates will help students feel ownership of their classroom. The glue sticks and word strips are used in our routine each day as well.

All of these materials will be utilized daily by my kindergarten students and help set them up for a successful school year.
