Keepsake Shirt

My Project

My students love hands-on projects. And they are kind. Really kind.

Our fourth-grade ends the school year with a grade-level-wide tie-dye shirt making project.

We get support from the administration, instructional aides, and parents on what becomes a 100 plus student project. Then, during the last days of the school year, we all wear our shirts as a community. A last memorable act of togetherness that they can keep as a keepsake.

The donation request is for:

- spare shirts in case student families are unable to provide,

- fabric markers for students to write messages or draw pictures on their shirts,

- stencils to aid in the writing of messages, and

- Play-doh as the stash I gave the students at the beginning of the year is literally drying up and they use it daily before the start of the school day. It is great for finger strengthening and creatively.
