This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach science to three great groups of fifth grade students. I would like to make sure that they each have a new hat and pair of gloves for the new year. Our campus is set up that each time we leave our classroom, we are outside in the elements as we are not an indoor school. Some of my students come to school in the colder months without a hat or pair of gloves. What may seem like something so small to provide, these supplies will go a long way in keeping my students warm and healthy so they can be present each day ready to learn.
