Have you ever heard of an Apple iPad2? Of course you have, and so have all my students. When given a choice to practice and learn new skills with pencil and paper or by using technology, they will always choose technology!
I am a first grade teacher at a rural school district in Oklahoma.
I have twenty, 6 & 7 year old students in my classroom. I have a very tech savvy classroom and my students are very comfortable with the incorporation of technology in our daily routines.
My Project
My students would greatly benefit from the use of an iPad in our classroom. We currently have one iPad, but it is used for RTI (Response to Interventions). My regular education students would really benefit from the use of an iPad as well. They would be able to use it for book reports, higher level learning games and for research assignments.
My school district has been faced with so many cutbacks that they are even reducing our support staff.
We desperately need donors like you to help fund our learning projects so we are able to inspire and motivate our students.
