This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a science teacher, I need to keep up with the latest developments in science as well as pedagogy.
Since COVID, in an effort to maintain safe working environments, much of the professional development offered to teachers is via online platforms.
My working laptop is over 9 years old and does not have all of the features or capacity for me to access all of the virtual and online workshops I would like to participate in. With an updated laptop along with the accessories like external drives, I will be able to participate and learn how to best serve my students.
This year, we anticipate budget cuts, so obtaining the needed technology is very unlikely, but with your support, I can be the best teacher I can be.
