Keeping Up in Current Events

My Project

Teaching social studies and science is always a struggle with the limited resources we have in our school. I feel that teaching and reading about current events is a huge part of any responsible social studies program.

Most of my students do not leave their neighborhoods, and I want to motivate my students to take an interest in the world around them.

Receiving a Scholastic News subscription for all of my students would make it possible for my students to read about current events and learn about what is going on around the world.

By donating a subscription to Scholastic News and Science Spin to my class, you will be making a huge difference in the lives of my first graders.

I want to offer them every learning opportunity possible, and you would be helping me achieve that goal.
