Keeping Track Of Things

My Students

My students need something to carry their reading books home in every day. They get lost in backpacks, bent, etc.

I teach first grade in a wonderful school in Northern Indiana.

Some of our families don't have many books at home so I send a different book home every day for them to read with their child. It's also difficult for parents to know what books are on their child's reading level.

My Project

Since my student's are so young, their reading books are often small. That makes it more of a challenge to keep track of them. I am asking for "Book Bags" for them to carry their reading books to and from school in every day. This will make it easier for them to keep track of the books and to keep them in good shape.

One of the most important things that children learn to do in first grade is read!

Books can be expensive to replace. It is so important for children to read to their parents at home. That is why I send books home every day for them to practice. By providing these "Book Bags" for my class you will make it easier for the children to keep track of them and keep the books in good shape. It will give them an opportunity to spend some quality time with their parents reading.
