My Project

Kindergarten is a journey! During this time, students are exploring different ways to learn and to express themselves. We use most of our learning time on the carpet. One of the many activities that we do, is use white boards and markers for sound spelling and number fluency. Our markers dry out over time, which can cause a delay in our learning. The writing pads will be a quick and effective way to meet our objective of the day, without loss of learning time.

Throughout our journey, we focus on meeting our content area objectives, and we are also learning about self regulation.

The use of the calming materials, will provide the students with options to use to get them back into a calm and positive mindset. During our day, I provide snacks for my students. I provide a small snack in the morning and one snack in the afternoon. Paying for snacks on a weekly basis adds up very quickly! Snacks allow students to stay calm and focused on the task at hand, rather than worrying about the time for lunch to begin.

Lastly, we learn a lot through hands-on activities. My students LOVE working with play-dough. With the extra play-dough materials, I will be able to continue our learning without the worry of omitting activities due to materials drying out.

I truly enjoy providing a strong foundation for my little ones, so that they are confident and ready for the first grade. Thank you in advance for being part of their journey.
