Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I believe that every student should walk into a well-stocked classroom where they will always have the supplies to create, learn and explore new ideas.

Welcome to a 3rd grade, bilingual classroom full of hard-working, enthusiastic students!

My bilingual classroom is the landing spot for 3rd graders who have just arrived in the United States. My students are incredibly hard workers who always come to school ready to learn, no matter what is going on outside of the classroom. My goal as a teacher is to provide my students with all that they need to be successful learners.

My Project

My students have been fortunate in receiving several new iPads this year to use in our classroom. However, one problem we have encountered is that there are very few accessible places to charge them. Due to a lack of outlets in the classroom, my students and I have trouble finding a place to charge every device.

A one-stop charging station that can hold all of our devices will allow my students to always have fully charged tablets and laptops available for learning.

Having a charging station that has 10 slots for devices and only uses one outlet for power would be a wonderful thing. This station will iallow us to take full advantage of our technology, which students use on a daily basis for robotics, research and independent study. Now that we will begin researching climate change and its effects, having full access to all of our devices will be critically important for research, video simulations and designing solutions to our climate crisis. With your support, this simple charging station will allow my students to use these devices and keep their brains on "full"!
