My Students
Our school ranges from K-6th grade and has approximately 250-300 students. We are a Title I, Gold Ribbon, and Lighthouse School. Many of our students come from a variety of economic background. Approximately 69% are socioeconomically disadvantaged. My students are motivated and curious learners who work hard and follow the school's Mission Statement: "Learn, Love, Lead." My students are thrilled and motivated to be at our school!
We are also a Leader in Me School in which students live the 7 Habits.
This program promotes students to have positive relationships with their peers, adults, and family. As 21st century learners, the 7 habits will strengthen their leadership skills and prepare them for the future. I have a group of students who are curious and excited to learn and apply these habits.
My Project
These magnetic hooks will be placed at the side of the tables so students can hang their lunch bags or backpacks. Usually students have a place for them to hang them altogether, but with COVID situation, we want their backpack and lunch bag separated from touching others at their own desk. These hooks will come in handy to let them hang it without it falling off the chair or having it all over the floor. Keeping the classroom organized is key for students' learning and safety. As we just started school, I want the classroom to feel comfortable and safe.
In addition, labels and sheet protectors will be supplies I regularly use for labels in the classroom and sheet protectors for their homework folders or leadership notebook.
