This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is full of vibrant, excited learners ready for new challenges each and every day! We are a preK-8th grade school, and in every grade, we develop a strong classroom community to support one another. My school is made up of students with special needs, gifted students, and English language learners. We fill our days with rigorous academics and extraordinary teachers. My students all come from lower-income families that struggle each day to make ends meet. Many of these children face poverty and violence on a daily basis that is well beyond what most of us could imagine.
Despite all of the challenges these students face in their daily lives, each one of them comes to school ready to learn.
My Project
My students and their families will benefit from these resources because they can be reassured that their information will be held securely. Having a safe and secure filing system to maintain confidentiality is extremely important. Personal student information should be guarded with lock and key. The filing cabinet will provide me with a space to keep student data secure while being able to monitor student progress. The scanner will help me be able to upload documents and student data needed for special education documentation. The paper shredder will allow for confidential documents to dispose of properly.
