Keeping Seating in the Classroom Flexible and Fun!
My students need different seating options for a new seating program in my classroom, called Flexible Seating, to help keep students engaged.

My Students
My class is made up of 23 awesome students. They love to be active through centers. We do Daily 5 math and math workshop to keep the kids moving. My students learn best through the multiple intelligence and using different activities to engage the intelligences.
My students love to have change in the classroom, have choice, and to have hands-on activities.
Many students at this age are looking for ways to keep moving. My class is no different. With two years of teaching experience, I understand that students are always looking for ways to move and be active.
My Project
I want to buy supplies like backpatters, pillows, and wobble chairs to start implementing flexible seating in my classroom starting this spring into my next classroom. In 2017-2018 I am hoping to have a full classroom of various flexible seating options.
With flexible seating, it is my goal to encourage students to be comfortable during this learning experience and to help students become more engaged.
With flexible seating, students are given various options to sit. They choose the best spot for THEM. What works best for THEM! The kids are encouraged to sit in a spot that helps them to be more engaged. It is my hope to have numerous different options, so that I can meet the needs of all the students that I have for years to come.
